Woman Arrested for Extortion After Discovering Lover's Affair
A 19-year-old woman from Miami-Dade County was arrested on a charge of threats and extortion after discovering her boyfriend had been cheating on her for the entire duration of their relationship. Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez, who met the victim while working as a waitress, began sending threatening text messages demanding $20,000 from him. She also threatened to send intimate photos of him to his girlfriend and business partner. After the victim refused to pay, Rodriguez Gonzalez posted one of the photos on her TikTok page, along with other photos, and continued sending threatening messages. The victim identified the woman in a photo and reported her to the MDSO Kendall District station. Rodriguez Gonzalez was taken into custody at her home and is currently held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
