Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: August 22, 2026

County Crime Watch respects requests to delete personal information associated with use of our Meta technologies, including Facebook Login or another County Crime Watch Meta app integration.

How to request deletion

  1. Email info@countycrimewatch.com with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request.
  2. Include the name and email address connected to your request and, if available, your Facebook or Meta app user ID. Do not send a password, access token, private key, or government identification unless we specifically request information needed to verify the account.
  3. Describe the County Crime Watch app or feature you used. If your request also concerns a public-record page, include each exact County Crime Watch URL so it can be reviewed under our Corrections Policy.

You may also use our contact page and clearly label the message as a Meta data deletion request.

What happens next

We will acknowledge the request, verify that it concerns the requester, and delete or de-identify data associated with the app account when required. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days and will send confirmation to the request email.

Data we may retain

We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the security and integrity of the service, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or document completion of the request. Any retained information remains restricted and is not used for unrelated purposes.

Public-record content

Deleting Meta app data does not automatically delete independently collected public-record content. Requests involving a County Crime Watch arrest record, correction, disposition, sealed or expunged record, or other published page must identify the exact page through our correction and removal process.
