Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: August 22, 2026

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of County Crime Watch, including this website and any County Crime Watch application or integration. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Informational purpose

County Crime Watch organizes public arrest records and local public-safety information from identified sources. We are not a law-enforcement agency, court, legal service, or consumer-reporting agency. The service is not legal advice and must not be used to determine eligibility for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar law.

2. Allegations and changing records

An arrest is not proof of guilt. Every person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges, custody status, case dispositions, and source records may change after publication. Users should verify current information with the originating agency or court.

3. Permitted use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with the service, defeat access controls, introduce malicious code, misuse personal information, impersonate another person, harass or threaten anyone, or use the service to make unlawful discriminatory decisions.

4. Accounts and third-party platforms

If a County Crime Watch feature uses Facebook Login, Meta, or another third-party platform, your use of that platform is also governed by its terms and policies. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your access credentials secure. We may suspend access when necessary to protect users or the service.

5. Privacy and data deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains our data practices. Instructions for deleting data associated with a County Crime Watch Meta app are available on our Data Deletion page. Requests about a published public-record page follow our Corrections Policy.

6. Corrections and removal requests

To report an error, disposition, identity issue, sealed or expunged record, or eligible removal matter, submit the exact County Crime Watch URL and supporting information through the correction and removal process. Submitting a request does not guarantee removal, but it will be reviewed under the published policy and applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

The County Crime Watch name, branding, site design, original text, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Public records and third-party materials remain subject to the rights and restrictions that apply to their sources. These terms do not grant permission to copy the service wholesale or falsely imply endorsement.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service and may update these terms by posting a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, County Crime Watch disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law controls.

11. Contact
