About us

About County Crime Watch

County Crime Watch organizes clearly sourced public arrest records and local public-safety information by state and county. The goal is to make local information easier to find while keeping each county's sources, records, images, and publication process separate.

Our standards

We identify sources, distinguish allegations from convictions, display the booking date, and include a presumption-of-innocence notice. We avoid publishing unnecessary personal information such as residential addresses, phone numbers, license plates, and complete dates of birth.

Corrections and accountability

Records and cases can change. We provide a documented process for corrections, dispositions, sealed or expunged records, and eligible removal requests. Supporting URLs and attachments help us review requests accurately.

County separation

Each county is developed as its own publication path. A county's scraper, records, mugshots, news, and archive must not be substituted with another county's content.
