County Crime Watch newsroom

Editorial standards

County Crime Watch is committed to accurate, fair, clearly sourced public-safety reporting. These standards apply to arrest records, court updates, community alerts, and original reporting published on this website.

Accuracy and sourcing

We identify the public agency, court record, official statement, or other source supporting a report. We distinguish verified facts from allegations and do not present an arrest as proof of guilt.

Presumption of innocence

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Arrest information describes an allegation and may change as a case proceeds.

Privacy and harm reduction

We avoid publishing residential addresses, telephone numbers, license-plate numbers, complete dates of birth, graphic descriptions involving minors, and other unnecessary personal information.

Corrections and updates

When reliable information shows that a report is inaccurate or incomplete, we review the source material and correct or update the page when appropriate. Requests may be submitted through our Corrections Policy and request form.

Independence

Advertising and sponsorship do not control editorial decisions, corrections, removals, or the order in which public records are published. County Crime Watch is not affiliated with a law-enforcement agency.
