Woman arrested after fatal Mt. Washington apartment stabbing
Hamilton County authorities charged Trenda Mayhew, 47, with m*rder and felonious assault following a fatal attack at a Cincinnati apartment complex. The case concerns a 67-year-old man who died in the Mt. Washington neighborhood.
A police affidavit alleges that Mayhew stabbed the man multiple times on Beechmont Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. on Sept. 30. The accusations have not been established as findings of guilt.
The Oct. 1 account of the case listed Mayhew as held without bond and described a court appearance scheduled for 9 a.m. that day. It did not report the hearing's outcome. Police had not disclosed a motive, and the court records described in that account did not identify one.
