Wellington man arrested after two separate indecent-exposure reports, sheriff says
Palm Beach County deputies arrested a Wellington man after two separate complaints alleging indecent exposure, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office affidavit. The man was accused of exposing himself to an adult woman in a neighborhood parking area and later of masturbating inside a vehicle near a gym/clubhouse area in the same community.
The investigation began when a woman reported that a sedan pulled up beside her while she was walking a puppy; the driver allegedly called out and, when approached, exposed himself outside his gym shorts. She initially planned only to document the incident but later asked deputies to pursue charges. A juvenile later told deputies the same vehicle circled a gym/clubhouse area twice, parked near the exit, and the driver opened the door and was stroking his penis without speaking to the juvenile.
Deputies say one of the complainants positively identified the suspect during a field identification procedure. The affidavit states the two complainants did not know each other. The accused, identified by the sheriff’s office as 32-year-old Malcom Depas, denied both allegations and told deputies a relative had driven his car earlier but would not provide contact information for that relative.
Sheriff’s Office records show deputies arrested Depas and charged him with a first-degree misdemeanor count of exposure of s3xual organs. The affidavit documents the allegations and the arrest; no court disposition is included in the report.
