Waco tool shop burglarized; owners report $2,000 in stolen tools
Regian Tool and Home in Waco was burglarized early Friday when two suspects forced entry and removed an assortment of tools, co-owner Sally Regian said. Surveillance video shows two men reversing into the parking lot about 3:40 a.m.; one broke through the glass door while the other pushed a trash cart into the store and filled it before leaving.
Regian estimated the loss at $2,000 and said the suspects appeared to know the store layout rather than browsing. She noted the business has sold tools to the community since 1993 and has operated this location for 4 years.
The Waco Police Department confirmed the investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified. Regian urged nearby businesses to verify their security systems are functioning.
