Waco siblings arrested after domestic altercation over grapes

Waco police arrested two siblings after a domestic disturbance at the Tribeca apartments shortly after 7 p.m. on Sept. 24. Officers charged a man with assault causing bodily injury to a family member and his sister with injury to a chld, then booked them into the McLennan County Jail; both later bonded out.

According to the arrest affidavit, the dispute began when the sister accused her brother of eating grapes she had purchased. The sister told officers she sprayed him with pepper spray after he began breaking her locked bedroom door.

Police allege the brother punched the sister, wrapped an arm around her throat and warned, “I’m going to cause death you.”

The affidavit states the siblings’ younger brother tried to intervene and was slapped; the sister later admitted that assault after being read her Miranda rights. Current charging status is as documented in the arrest affidavit.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
