Waco police arrested an AutoNation employee after a months-long series of drive-by BB gun shootings that damaged at least 15 businesses, including the building that houses the local FBI field office. The arrest occurred at his Waco workplace after investigators matched a blue 2020 four-door Tesla to camera and license-plate reader data.

Authorities say the incidents began in February and included 31 separate reports along North New Road, Valley Mills Drive, Bosque Boulevard, and Richland Drive. Investigators located the Tesla at the dealership, saw a handgun-like item on the front seat, and detained the suspect without incident.

According to an arrest affidavit, the man admitted to using a .177-caliber CO₂ BB/pellet gun and confessed to multiple shootings; he is charged with nine counts of criminal mischief and remains jailed on bonds totaling $450,000. Additional charges are expected as the probe continues.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
