Vehicle seized after hit-and-run that kll chld in Northwest Miami‑Dade
A hit‑and‑run crash at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday at N.W. 7th Ave. and 117th St. left a chld dead and another person critically injured after a vehicle turning left onto 117th St. struck an electric bicycle. The critically injured rider was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Miami‑Dade investigators located and seized a Nissan Versa believed to be involved at an undisclosed location over the weekend, but detectives say they are still searching for the driver. Family members shared cellphone video with investigators showing the bicycle on local streets before the collision; detectives continue to follow leads.
