Vehicle crashed into Dallas warehouse and caught fire; video showed a rescue
A car crashed through a fence and into a Dallas warehouse, then ignited beneath the vehicle in the early morning at a business on Dickerson St. Dallas Fire-Rescue said crews responded just after 2 a.m. Monday to a reported vehicle fire in the Dickerson St. and put the blaze out quickly.
Video captured a second vehicle stopping, two people exiting and assisting someone out a car window as flames began under the crashed car. Dallas police later identified the building as a warehouse at Dickerson St.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said no one was found inside the vehicle and there were no reported injuries. At 8:45 a.m., crews returned for reported roof smoke and determined a smoldering bird's nest in a rain gutter was the source.
The departments provided the incident details and their actions; damage to the building was not specified by the fire department.
