Two men arrested weeks after Liberty City sh00ting that sent bullet into garage door
Miami police arrested two men this week in connection with a sh00ting that occurred just after midnight on Aug. 21 in Liberty City. Officers said the sh00ting followed a planned fight between two groups of young women that escalated when people arrived by car; investigators recovered six shell casings at the scene and found a bullet had struck the garage door of a nearby home but caused no injuries. An arrest report alleges 22-year-old Charles Denis Jr. was seen holding a small black handgun and striking another woman with a golf club, then handed the gun to 37-year-old Taji Cozart Thrasher, who allegedly said he was going to shoot before firing. Both men were taken into custody and face charges as the Miami Police Department continues its investigation and prepares the case for prosecution. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
