Two killed in head-on collision on Dunbar Toll Bridge; bridge closed for hours
A head-on collision on the Dunbar Toll Bridge in Kanawha County Monday afternoon killed two people and sparked a separate minor crash involving two other vehicles. The wreck occurred on the South Charleston side of the bridge at about 3:10 p.m.; emergency crews closed the span and traffic remained halted until roughly 7:15 p.m.
South Charleston police are leading the ongoing investigation into the fatal crash. Authorities have not released identities or additional details about the victims as inquiries continue.
