Two juveniles arrested after gunfire during planned fight in Hialeah community
Hialeah police say officers responded about 2:36 p.m. Tuesday after reports of gunfire at the Aquabella community where a pre-arranged physical altercation escalated. During the fight, someone produced a handgun and fired multiple rounds, with bullets aimed at a person fleeing on foot and at an occupied black Chevy Tahoe; a round struck the driver’s side of the vehicle but no one was injured. Investigators detained people at the scene and canvassed apartments; two juveniles were arrested the following morning and face felony attempted second-degree murder and related firearm charges. The suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues and criminal proceedings are pending. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
