Two Hialeah men arrested after alleged $30,000 spree stealing Lego sets from Targets

Miami police arrested two 23-year-old Hialeah men Thursday in connection with a string of thefts that investigators say involved more than $30,000 in Lego merchandise taken from Target stores across Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Authorities say the suspects used a recurring “push-out” pattern, loading shopping carts with high-value Lego sets and leaving past points of sale; the latest incident in West Flagler occurred about 9:20 p.m. last Friday and involved $3,289.77 in merchandise. The case was linked to an investigation by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Organized Retail Crimes Unit after a Target investigator notified detectives; surveillance reviews and identification by probation officers tied the men to multiple incidents. Both men were arrested at their homes and remain in custody pending further legal action. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
