Two Detainees died in Shooting at Dallas ICE Facility

A shooter opened fire at the Dallas ICE facility on Sept. 24, 2025, striking three detainees as detention vans arrived, authorities reported. The attacker fired 17 rounds and was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Two of the wounded detainees died; their identities were documented as a 37-year-old man from El Salvador and a man from Mexico. Investigators recovered bullets bearing anti-ICE messaging near the shooter and said they believed the suspect was targeting ICE personnel.
The case remained under federal investigation and federal officials had not publicly released investigative findings or a full autopsy for one victim.
