Two arrested in connection with Wynwood homicide captured on surveillance video
Two people were arrested this week in connection with a fatal sh00ting in Wynwood that left a man dead in July. Miami police arrested 30-year-old Jeremy Isiah Davis Wednesday on one count each of second-degree murder with a weapon, burglary of an occupied structure, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal mischief. Authorities arrested 19-year-old Miracle De Jesus Johnson early Thursday on a charge of accessory after the fact. Police say officers were dispatched at about 9:29 p.m.; Miami Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 9:49 p.m., and an autopsy ruled the death a homicide from a gunshot wound to the torso. Investigators say surveillance from the department’s Real Time Crime Center shows a confrontation and the sh00ting near Northwest Third Avenue and Northwest 22nd Street; the case is now in the custody of investigators as charges proceed. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
