Three Men Charged in Assault Outside Little Havana Restaurant
Three Miami men, identified as Jose Luis Martinez, 41; Deyton Odel Rojas, 32; and Helder Jose Rojas, 30, are facing attempted murder charges after they allegedly assaulted and stabbed a man who confronted them for urinating outside a Little Havana restaurant. The incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday at an undisclosed location in Little Havana. Witnesses reported that the victim confronted Martinez for urinating in an alleyway, leading to an argument that escalated into physical violence. The suspects admitted to striking the victim but denied taking his knife and using it to stab him. Authorities ordered Helder Rojas held without bond, while Deyton Rojas and Jose Luis Martinez were released on bonds of $15,000 and $10,500 respectively. Both Rojas brothers and Martinez, a Mexican national, remain jailed on Immigration and Customs Enforcement holds. The suspects were arrested on Monday. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
