SUV crashes into Kendall West market; three women hospitalized, business closed for cleanup
A Honda RAV4 struck the Cuban restaurant area of an open-air market in Kendall West around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, injuring three women and prompting a temporary closure for cleanup. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies reported the SUV’s impact caused a gas leak, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded; one injured woman was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. The two other injured women were employees of the family-owned chain. The market remained closed Wednesday while authorities and the business handled the scene and cleanup; no charges were reported in the initial account. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
