Monroe County deputies say a father and son were arrested after a raid at an undisclosed area in Stock Island, where investigators recovered illegal substances and several firearms. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says detectives and a SWAT team executed the operation Thursday. Officers report seizing about 6.7 grams of Fent, 2.6 grams of Methamp, an AR-15 rifle, a .30-caliber rifle, a 9mm handgun, ammunition, electronic scales, baggies and equipment alleged to be used to heat or “cook” narcotics. According to the sheriff’s office, Julio Huecas Laukkanen Sr., 68, was taken into custody and charged with possession of amphetamine, manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of substance paraphernalia, and keeping a public nuisance dwelling for the purpose of manufacturing and delivering contr substance. His son, Julio Huecas Laukkanen Jr., 35, was charged with trafficking Fent, possession of amphetamine, manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of substance paraphernalia, and keeping a public nuisance dwelling for the purpose of manufacturing and delivering contr substance. The agency describes the listed items as evidence recovered at the residence; the charges are the allegations filed by law enforcement and prosecutors. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and that further arrests or charges may be pending.
