Overturned 18-wheeler and diesel spill closed Dallas North Tollway at Northwest Highway

An 18-wheeler overturned on the southbound Dallas North Tollway at Northwest Highway in Dallas, shutting the roadway after a collision involving five other vehicles. The crash occurred around noon on Friday, and crews closed all northbound and southbound lanes while responders addressed the scene.
Dallas Fire-Rescue and the North Texas Tollway Authority reported that about 170 gallons of diesel leaked from ruptured saddle tanks, and additional fluids from the trailer, including cooking oil, spilled onto the pavement. Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Officials had not released a cause for the collision while towing and hazardous-material cleanup operations continued.
