One died, one injured in Temple two-vehicle crash
A two-vehicle collision near NW HK Dodgen Loop and Industrial Boulevard in Temple left one person dead and another injured on September 25, 2026. Temple Police Department units responded after being dispatched just before 1:30 p.m. and found a passenger vehicle and a box truck had collided at the intersection.
Temple Police reported their preliminary investigation indicated the box truck was eastbound and the passenger vehicle was northbound at the time of impact. One person from the box truck was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; another person was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Larry Wilkey.
The Temple Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit blocked the area for several hours while investigators processed the scene. The case remained under investigation and no additional information was released. Authorities asked anyone with information to contact the Temple Police Department or Bell County Crime Stoppers.
