Multi-vehicle crash with overturned 18-wheeler closed DNT at Northwest Highway
A multi-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler occurred on the Dallas North Tollway at Northwest Highway on September 25, 2026. Dallas police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene after 911 calls around 11:08 a.m.
Dallas Fire-Rescue reported the truck struck several vehicles and a retaining wall, leaving the tractor-trailer on its side. Fire officials counted a total of 6 vehicles involved and said diesel from the semi spilled onto the roadway, prompting a hazardous-materials response.
Emergency crews transported three people to area hospitals; officials later described their condition as stable with non-life-threatening injuries. The North Texas Tollway Authority assumed control of the scene to manage cleanup and reopen lanes.
Southbound DNT lanes were closed from Walnut Hill Lane to Northwest Highway while HazMat teams and NTTA worked on remediation and clearance.
