Motorcyclist Dies After T‑Bone Collision on Bird Road at Red Road
A motorcyclist was kll Monday afternoon after colliding with a sedan at the intersection of Bird Road and Red Road just outside Coral Gables. The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. when a westbound Hyundai Sonata turned onto Red Road in front of a Kawasaki motorcycle, causing the biker to T‑bone the sedan and fall from the bike. FHP spokesperson Lt. Alex Camacho reported the motorcyclist died at the scene. Authorities have not publicly identified the rider or indicated whether the Hyundai driver will face citations or charges. Troopers remained at the scene to investigate; any further details on the crash and potential legal action will be released by FHP as they complete their inquiry. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
