A motorcyclist died after a collision with a truck Friday afternoon on North Collier Boulevard near East Elkcam Circle in Naples, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). FHP says the rider was in the left-turn lane on North Collier Boulevard attempting to turn onto East Elkcam Circle when the front of a southbound Toyota Tacoma struck the motorcycle. The rider was taken to a hospital and later died.

FHP reported the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The agency has identified the other vehicle involved as a Toyota Tacoma and says the crash remains under investigation. No identities, injuries to others, or citations were released in the report supplied by FHP.
