Miami Man Pleads Guilty in Scheme That Took Nearly $240 Million in Bitcoin
A 22-year-old Miami resident on Tuesday pleaded guilty to participating with others in the theft of nearly $240 million worth of bitcoin from a Washington, D.C., resident. Court filings say he teamed up with friends in the scheme; prosecutors allege the cryptocurrency was taken from the victim. No injuries were reported.
