Miami Man Arrested for Alleged Utility Fraud
A 33-year-old Miami man, Luis Albert Alonso, was arrested on August 24 for allegedly attempting to defraud the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative by altering a check to steal more than $8,600. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office charged him with organized fraud, possession of personal identifying information with intent to defraud, grand theft, and depositing unauthorized checks.
