A Maryland resident is accused of communicating with a Palm Beach County chld via Snapchat and persuading the juvenile to create and send sexually explicit material, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office probable cause affidavit. Investigators say the case emerged after family members found explicit content on the chld’s cellphone, triggering a law-enforcement probe in April 2026.

Detectives report that a forensic review of the victim’s phone uncovered messages, photos and videos exchanged through Snapchat. The affidavit alleges the account used the name "Bob McGregor" and that communications took place between March 23 and April 24, 2026. Investigators say the Snapchat account repeatedly requested sexually explicit images and videos from the chld and that the account sent explicit images of the suspect to the victim.

Search warrants and digital evidence allegedly linked the Snapchat account to Chase Michael Hipszer, 19, of Owings, Maryland. The affidavit states detectives recovered numerous files and messages they say document an online s3xual relationship and the exchange of chld s3xual abuse material. The victim reportedly identified the suspect from photographs, according to the affidavit.

Hipszer is charged in the affidavit with multiple felonies, including counts alleging possession and promotion of chld pornography, direct promotion of a s3xual performance by a chld, use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, and displaying obscene material harmful to minors. Because the alleged suspect resides outside Florida, investigators sought an arrest warrant. The affidavit says the matter remains under investigation.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
