Broward County, Florida — A 29-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Pompano Beach on May 21, 2022, and later died at a hospital, deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office say.
The discovery followed a report of a shooting at about 8:30 p.m. in the Northwest Fourth Street. BSO personnel provided first aid at the scene before the victim was transported and pronounced dead at a local medical facility.
Investigators from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded and are conducting the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting. No suspect has been identified, according to the agency.
The department’s involvement and the units assigned indicate the case remains an active homicide investigation under BSO jurisdiction. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact BSO Detective Kevin Nitsch at 954-321-4876 or to submit tips through the SaferWatch app.
The agency also noted that anonymous tips that lead to an arrest may qualify for a Broward Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000. At this time the documented facts are limited to the victim’s discovery, emergency response, the investigating units, lack of an identified suspect, and avenues for the public to provide information.
