Man arrested on attempted-murder charges after Florida City stabbings
Police say a man allegedly stabbed a woman and her adult son multiple times at an apartment building in Florida City; officers arrested 57-year-old James Edward Brock on Thursday and charged him with two counts of attempted murder. Authorities responded to reports of a stabbing and found the son holding a cloth over his side with what appeared to be puncture wounds while the woman was trying to leave the apartment when the suspect would not let her go. Both victims were taken from the scene and are now reported to be in stable condition. The victims’ parents say they are relieved by the arrest and are seeking justice as the case moves forward through the criminal process.
