Man arrested, charged with second‑degree murder after woman found fatally stabbed in Brickell high‑rise
Miami police say officers were dispatched about 4:47 a.m. Friday to a Brickell high‑rise after an “unknown request for police assistance.” Officers encountered 36‑year‑old Stefano Cremasco‑Cicero in the lobby with blood on his shoes, hands and clothing; he told officers, “I was defending myself,” and was arrested at the scene. When officers entered the apartment they found a woman behind the entry door, lying on her side and covered in blood with multiple apparent stab wounds; Miami Fire Rescue personnel responded and a lieutenant pronounced her dead at about 5:08 a.m. A witness who arrived to deliver food said Cremasco‑Cicero opened the lobby door and asked for help. Cremasco‑Cicero faces a second‑degree murder charge and the Miami Police Department says the investigation is ongoing. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
