Man Arrested After Woman Reports Being Threatened Outside Naples Manor Tiki Bar

Collier County deputies arrested a 33-year-old man in Naples Manor after a woman reported he had threatened her with a firearm and chased her outside a tiki bar near US-41 early Sunday morning. The victim called 911, prompting an immediate search by deputies using K-9 units and a drone.

According to the arrest report, deputies located the suspect after reviewing body-worn camera footage that shows them finding him hiding in a dirt pile off Hardee Street and Georgia Avenue. Neighbors said deputies searched the dirt pile behind the suspect’s residence looking for the gun officers reported seeing on him.

The arrest report states no gun was recovered. Deputies allege they observed a handgun tucked into the suspect’s waistband before he ran; the suspect denied having a handgun. The agency booking record shows the man faces charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

The suspect remains in the Collier County Jail and is also being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold, per the detention record. A local resident said the incident is a reminder to be cautious at night, especially for people who are alone. The case description reflects allegations and the ongoing custody status; no court disposition is documented in the available report.
