Man Arrested After Alleged Joke About Grenade at Miami International Airport
A 52-year-old man from Miami was arrested Sunday after making a joke about having a grenade at an American Airlines ticket counter at Miami International Airport. The ticket agent asked if he had any dangerous goods, to which the man responded, 'I have a grenade' before laughing. The airport bomb detection K-9 checked his luggage and found no explosives. The man was charged with making a false report about placing a bomb. He was held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bond set to be determined. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
