Late-night shooting in Pleasant Grove left man critically wounded

Dallas police responded to a reported shooting outside an apartment complex in the Pleasant Grove area on Sunday. Officers and Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived at 10:20 p.m. at the Scyene Road and found a man on the sidewalk who had been shot in the upper body.
Investigators said the assault occurred during a disturbance between two men; according to the preliminary investigation, one man produced a weapon and shot the other before fleeing. The wounded man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police deployed patrol units and the Air One helicopter to search for the suspect. Assault detectives and crime-scene technicians processed the scene, recovered shell casings and interviewed witnesses. The investigation remained ongoing; anyone with information was asked to contact the Dallas Police Department.
