Jury Convicts North Miami Man in Fatal Triple sh00ting
A jury found Pierce Hoempler guilty of first- and second-degree murder for a November 2023 sh00ting that kll a neighbor and the neighbor’s two sons in North Miami. Police say the confrontation began with a physical fight outside an apartment building, after which officers say Hoempler pinned the neighbor on the lawn and then sh0t all three when the sons intervened. Body-camera footage shows Hoempler’s arrest and his claim of self-defense; he was jailed without bond following the arrest. He is expected to be sentenced next month. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
