Investigators: NTSB data shows excessive speed, late flap deployment before Miami cargo plane crash

An Amazon Prime Air cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport after investigators say flight data shows the aircraft was too fast on approach. The NTSB released cockpit voice and flight data recorder transcripts showing the pilots attempted a go-around about 30 seconds before impact and that flap deployment occurred late in the approach. Cockpit transcripts indicate a miscommunication between the two pilots in the moments before the crash. The aircraft breached a perimeter fence and struck vehicles, scattering debris; five people were kll and five others injured, and the NTSB continues its investigation to determine why the airplane was at excessive speed.
