I-77 North reopens after evening crash near mile marker 96
Traffic on I-77 North was restored Sunday evening after a collision near mile marker 96 that briefly closed all northbound lanes. Dispatchers reported the call arrived just before 6:30 p.m.; deputies say a truck rear-ended a semi. Both drivers reported no injuries at the scene.
Kanawha County law enforcement and emergency services responded, including the sheriff’s office, Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority and Malden Volunteer Fire Department. The roadway was cleared and reopened after responders completed on-scene work; the investigation remains active but no charges or injuries have been reported.
