A 28-year-old man was struck and died by a motor vehicle while riding an electric scooter on South Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach in the early morning hours of July 6. It is documented that the driver fled the scene and has not been found; police are urging anyone with information to contact investigators. Family members are publicly pressing for leads and say they will continue to seek answers.
Proven facts in the investigation at this time: the victim was struck on South Olive Avenue near Lakewood Road and died from the crash; the striking vehicle left the scene and remains unidentified; the police department lists the case as active and asks the public for information.
