Hernando County man sentenced for creating and sharing AI-generated chld and bestiality images

A Hernando County man was sentenced in connection with producing and distributing artificial intelligence-generated sexually explicit images involving children and animals. The Office of the State Attorney for Florida's 5th Judicial Circuit says the defendant received an eight-year prison term followed by three years of probation with s3xual offender conditions.

Prosecutors allege the investigation began after the Hernando County Sheriff's Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detectives say they traced online accounts offering explicit photos and videos in exchange for money to the defendant, executed a search warrant at his home and questioned him about the activity.

According to the State Attorney's Office, the defendant was convicted of multiple counts, including possession, distribution or production of pornographic material depicting a person and an animal engaged in prohibited acts, eight counts of possession of generated chld pornography, fraudulent use of personal identification information, organized fraud and possession of Methamp. Prosecutors say chats recovered during the probe showed active participation in collecting and sharing the material. The office reports the defendant initially denied involvement but later told investigators he used artificial intelligence to generate the images in an effort to "scam pedophiles" out of money.

The State Attorney's Office credited the Hernando County Sheriff's Office and its prosecutors for the investigation. The current documented case status: the defendant was convicted and sentenced as described.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
