HCSO arrests Wimauma man on probation after CSAM upload traced to residence

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 42-year-old Wimauma man on September 30, 2026, after detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant in an investigation into chld s3xual abuse material (CSAM).

According to the agency, the probe began on April 16, 2026, when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children submitted a CyberTipline report identifying the upload of CSAM. Detectives with the HCSO Internet Predators Unit traced those uploads to a Wimauma residence and identified the suspect as Daniel Munive Viruet. On September 30, detectives, assisted by the SWAT team, served the search warrant and seized multiple electronic devices, including the suspect’s cell phone.

HCSO reports Munive Viruet was on felony probation stemming from a prior Internet Predators Unit search of his residence on September 23, 2025, which resulted in charges for possession of chld pornography and related counts. During the September 30, 2026 action, detectives determined he violated the conditions of that probation. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Probable Cause Violation of Probation: Use/Produce - Minor s3x Material; additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office provided the details of the investigation and custody status, and the Public Affairs Office said further updates will be released as the inquiry proceeds.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
