Indictments filed this week in Franklin County allege a multi-defendant scheme that stole more than $355,000 from Medicaid, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. The filings name 18 defendants statewide, including three from the central Ohio area: a New Albany clinic owner and two Columbus residents. The Attorney General’s Office secured the indictments and is investigating the allegations.

Prosecutors say Sheereen Jaulim, 53, owner and operator of MedSave Clinic in Columbus, is accused of directing staff to inflate claims over a seven-year period, allegedly billing as if physician evaluations and counseling sessions occurred on separate dates when both were provided during a single visit. The indictments attribute more than $167,000 in alleged losses to Jaulim’s conduct. Two Columbus residents, Djuan Walton and Princess Ramey-Turner, are also named: Walton is alleged to have submitted improper Medicaid transportation claims to an adult daycare program, and Ramey-Turner is alleged to have billed for home-health services after a client’s death, with those specific claims totaling several thousand dollars.

The allegations described in the indictments are from the Attorney General’s Office; they have not been adjudicated in court. The indictments report timelines and dollar totals derived from a records review—examples cited include 128 improper transportation claims between May 2023 and January of this year and itemized dollar-loss amounts attributed to defendants.

The case status, as documented, is that the indictments were secured in Franklin County and remain under investigation by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. No convictions or court dispositions are reported in the available material.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
