Franklin County indictments allege over $355,000 stolen from Medicaid, including New Albany clinic owner
Indictments filed this week in Franklin County allege a multi-defendant scheme that stole more than $355,000 from Medicaid, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. The filings name 18 defendants statewide, including three from the central Ohio area: a New Albany clinic owner and two Columbus residents. The Attorney General’s Office secured the indictments and is investigating the allegations.
Three Sentenced After South Columbus Altercation Left Man Dead
Three men were sentenced in connection with a December 2023 fight in south Columbus that left a 53-year-old man dead. The altercation began inside a business on South High Street on the evening of Dec. 6, 2023, when staff asked the group to leave. Outside the business, Columbus police say the men became involved in a physical confrontation with another patron, identified in court records as a 53-year-old man.
