Former University of Kentucky player sentenced to jail in Fayette County s3xual-misconduct case

Lexington/Fayette County, Kentucky — A former University of Kentucky football player was sentenced in Fayette County after pleading guilty to an amended charge of s3xual misconduct.

The sentencing occurred on Fayette Circuit Court, where the judge imposed a 12-month jail term and ordered the defendant remanded into custody immediately. Prosecutors say the underlying incident occurred on Aug. 20, 2025, at an apartment on South Upper Street in Lexington.

According to a criminal complaint, the defendant was visiting another resident of the building when he allegedly entered the victim’s bedroom uninvited while she was asleep, got into her bed and made unwanted advances. The victim reported becoming rigid and remaining still out of fear that the defendant was attempting s3xual intercourse.

Investigators with the Special Victim Section reviewed the complaint and a detective wrote that the victim’s immobility was consistent with fear of s3xual assault or physical injury and indicated a s3xual purpose.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
