Former Doctor Aromas COO arrested in alleged payroll fraud totaling more than $930,000
North Miami police arrested Jacqueline Campos, 48, of Coral Springs, Tuesday on charges of organized scheme to defraud (property valued at $50,000 or more) and first-degree grand theft after an investigation into payroll irregularities at BOSEM Corp., doing business as Doctor Aromas. Investigators allege Campos, who served as the company’s chief operating officer and had access to ADP TotalSource and QuickBooks Online, used her position between Aug. 28, 2021, and July 10, 2026, to obtain unauthorized compensation and payments totaling more than $930,000. Police say the company owner was shown manually created Excel screenshots by email instead of official ADP payroll exports while he was required to approve payroll every two weeks listing authorized pay of $2,307.70 per period. A forensic payroll and expense analysis by a licensed CPA compared 131 payroll documents with ADP records for 126 confirmed pay periods and concluded Campos received $874,885.59 in unauthorized compensation across those pay periods; the investigation remains ongoing. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
