Five airport cleaning crew members kll after cargo plane collides with their van at MIA

Five workers who had been finishing an eight-hour shift cleaning aircraft at Miami International Airport were kll when an Amazon cargo plane struck their van on Sunday. The plane also collided with a Toyota Corolla; the Corolla driver and two additional cleaning crew members remain hospitalized in critical condition. The workers were employed by Professional Ocean Service Corp., which has provided interior and exterior aircraft cleaning at the airport for years. On Wednesday, the family of one of the deceased filed a wrongful-death lawsuit naming Amazon, the plane’s operator 21 Air, and the pilots as defendants; authorities continue to investigate the crash. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
