FDLE agent fires, kll man after roadside struggle in southwest Miami‑Dade
Deputies responded shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday to a sh00ting near the intersection of Southwest 157th Avenue and Southwest 140th Street in southwest Miami‑Dade. Investigators say an agent inside a vehicle was approached by a man who began striking the vehicle’s window; the agent exited and a physical altercation followed, during which the man threw the agent to the ground and got on top of him. Cellphone video captured by a nearby driver shows the struggle, bystanders shouting that one man had a gun and then a single gunshot; officials said the agent opened fire, kll the man who had slammed him to the ground. Investigators are handling the scene and continue to review the incident.
