East Naples s3x offender arrested after cybertip alleging chld s3xual abuse material

Collier County deputies arrested a registered s3x offender at an East Naples residence after a cybertip implicated the home in distribution of chld s3xual abuse material. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) says the investigation centered on exchanges over the messaging platform Kik and pointed to activity occurring at a residence on Bayview Drive.

CCSO detectives with the INTERcept (Inter-agency chld Exploitation and Persons Trafficking) Task Force developed the lead following a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children cybertip. The sheriff’s office reports that deputies obtained and executed a search warrant at the Bayview Drive residence on Wednesday and took 26-year-old Trent James Mansberger into custody. CCSO says the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force assisted the probe.

Agency statements allege Mansberger possessed more than a dozen counts of chld s3xual abuse material; those allegations are from the sheriff’s office and have been the basis for the arrest and charges. CCSO also reports Mansberger is a registered s3x offender on probation with the Florida Department of Corrections and that he was released from prison on Jan. 18 after serving a six-year sentence for lewd and lascivious battery on a minor stemming from an earlier CCSO investigation.

At this time CCSO documents the arrest and the charges and lists the matter as an active investigation handled by INTERCEPT and ICAC. No additional case outcomes, court dates, or investigative findings beyond the agency’s statements have been provided in the documentation supplied.

All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
