Driver sought after pepper-spray attack during Hammocks road-rage incident
Miami-Dade deputies are searching for a driver accused of battering an elderly motorist during a road-rage incident in the Hammocks on Sept. 14. Surveillance video, deputies say, shows the driver using a pepper-spray canister and spraying the victim through an open passenger window after a minor traffic collision. The suspect fled the scene in a newer-model Mercedes-Benz; deputies released a flyer with photos of the person and the vehicle as investigators continue to identify the driver. Anyone with video or photos from the incident or other information is asked to contact the Miami-Dade Police Sheriff's Office as the investigation proceeds. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
