Deputies recover car in northwest Miami-Dade hit-and-run that kll 10-year-old

Miami-Dade detectives have recovered the vehicle tied to a Wednesday night hit-and-run that kll a 10-year-old girl and critically injured her older brother. Deputies said the silver or gray 2009–2012 Nissan Versa was found and is in the agency’s custody, but no arrest has been made; investigators are urging the driver to turn themselves in. According to authorities, deputies responded about 8:40 p.m. after the vehicle, traveling northbound on Northwest Seventh Avenue, turned onto Northwest 117th Street and struck the two chldren as they rode an e-bike. Both victims were found unresponsive and taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where the girl later died; the brother remains hospitalized and the investigation by the Traffic Homicide Unit is ongoing. All individuals accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
